Thuparama The Thuparama is so called because it comprised a stupa and a aramic complex.The ancient residential quarters were situated in an area 448 feet * 249 feet.The stupa was the first to be built in the island since the introduction of Buddhism to Srilanka in the 3rd century BC. |
